Many stories of American Revolution heroes remain hidden in time, kept with the more than 230,000 men who fought against the British for independence. Among those unsung heroes is Prince Estabrook, whose journey from enslaved person to soldier encapsulates the struggle of enslaved individuals fighting for their liberty during this pivotal moment in American history. His story, however, is still in the annals of time.

REVOLUTIONARY REENACTMENT

Join the Town of Sudbury for a live reenactment of the Battle of Red Horse Tavern! The reenactment will happen on October 26-27, 2024, at the Longfellow Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Reenactors will portray American and British soldiers from the Revolutionary War and act out two battle scenarios, including the skirmishes near the tavern in 1775.

The Liberty & Union Festival, hosted by the Old Colony History Museum, is an annual event that transports you back in time to 1774 through historical reenactors, music, food, beer, and much more.

Concord250: Wright Tavern Pub Choir
Lift your voice to sing! Accomplished choir director and musician Tim Bongiovanni will lead the events by the sculpture. Here, participants will learn and perform in three-part harmony. Enjoy refreshments and a beer garden at the Wright Tavern as part of this unique musical event.
