Dear Friends of Lincoln Talk!
This is the Season of giving..so please consider those in poor health and
become a kidney donor...if interested through living kidney donation at
Massachusetts General Hospital, a person can donate a healthy kidney to
someone with end-stage renal disease and in need of a kidney transplant.

I am writing to you with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency. I
recently learned about the challenging journey my husband, James Pagounes
is facing. I am reaching out to you in the hope that you might consider a
truly extraordinary act of kindness. My husband needs a kidney. All labs,
tests, and surgeries are covered by my husband's insurance. Travel expenses
are available. Neither our sons nor myself are eligible to donate our
kidneys to James.

You can also learn more about living donation on the National Kidney
Foundation (NKF)
website: www.kidney.org/livingdonation or by contacting the NKF's free,
confidential helpline at 855.NKF.CARES (855-653-2273) or [email protected].
If you want to talk to someone who's already donated a kidney, NKF can also
help.

Thank you for taking the time to read this heartfelt plea. Your
consideration of this request is greatly appreciated! I am grateful for
your compassionate spirit!

However, I know living donation may not be right for everyone. But you can
still help! Consider being a donor after death and also by spreading the
word to everyone you know. At the very least, it is important to bring
awareness to kidney disease and living donation and encourage others to
consider helping many people including James who are on the wait list.

Thank you!
Wishing everyone a season of peace, love and joy! ♥️
