Hi Janet, I had the same thing happen this winter and consulted our pest company and they wanted to use rodenticides that poison the mice that then poison the owls and hawks in our yard. 😢Their other solutuon was to use sticky traps that cause a lot of suffering 😢😢 . So instead I researched it myself & got these very easy to use snap traps that work supposedly without a lot of suffering - caught 10 mice in a matter of days- without harming the raptors in my yard. (Still sad to me 😢but I could not risk having my new heat pump up in the attic destroyed). Once it warms up I will be having my handyman figure out where they are getting in and trim back the trees that are touching my house eaves to prevent them from entering next year.
