4/7/25: Discover the Magic of Goldenrod: A Gift to Wildlife - Bemis Hall or 
Online, 7:00 p.m.

April 5th: Vernal Pool Exploration: LLCT and Lincoln Conservation Department 
are pleased to host two vernal pool exploration events:

  *   [FULL] Session 1: 11am-12:30pm Ages 15+ - Geared towards adolescents and 
adults, with more emphasis on vernal pool ecology.
  *   Session 2: 1-2:30pm Ages 5+ - For families with children. Ranger Will 
Leona and Land Manager Ryan Brown will share fun facts about vernal pools and 
offer a close-up look at some of the critters that call vernal pools home. 
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Spring Conservation Trail Walks start on April 8th - Join Conservation staff on 
Tuesday mornings as we visit different trails in Lincoln (see flier

 Registration required in order to keep group size under 18 people and to 
ensure we can contact you in case of cancellation due to weather or public

April 10th (7-8:30pm) (Zoom): Planting in Community and Planting for the 
Future: Soil ecologist and educator Rachel Neurath will explore the incredible

April 11th (1-3pm) Volunteer Conservation Crew - Fieldwork Fridays - Land 
management staff of the Conservation Department and Land Trust will be hosting 
six volunteer workdays focused on invasive plant species control this spring

positive impact on our conservation land and enjoy the great outdoors! Come for

Listen for the distinctive quacking of Wood Frogs in the evening as they gather 
at vernal pools. They are the first amphibians to emerge in spring and often 
congregate on pools still partially covered with ice.  To learn more about
