*Lincoln250 @ the LPL Display: *
The Lincoln Minute MenStarting in the fall of 1774, the Massachusetts
legislature met in defiance of the Royal Governor at the time and assumed
control of militia forces. On October 26, 1774 the legislature recommended
that towns recruit volunteers and “form them into Companies of fifty
Privates at the least, who shall equip and hold themselves in Readiness to
march at the shortest Notice…” Because they were expected to be ready
quickly, “at a minute’s warning…” they would become known as “minute men.”

*Lincoln250 Series: Myths of the Battle of Lexington-Concord with Rick
Wiggin *(Adult)

Lincoln Minute Man and Historian Rick Wiggin will discuss what truly
happened in Lexington, Concord, and most importantly, Lincoln, on April 19,
1775 and how it became mythologized over time. The day was a one-sided
massacre without return fire. By the Centennial anniversary, the idea of
the battle had become accepted history. Rick will dispel many of the
popular myths of this pivotal day on Battle Road!

Calling all adventurers! Join librarian and Game Master Casey for the
library's *FIRST EVER* monthly Adult Dungeons & Dragons campaign. No past
familiarity with Dungeons & Dragons necessary; new adventurers and seasoned
pros alike are welcome - we just ask that all characters be at level 3
(character sheets can be provided if needed). Registration required. Any

*Sprouting Up Storytime with the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust*

Celebrate Earth Day at the library with a fun and hands-on gardening
activity! In this program, kids will enjoy stories about the magic of
gardening and nature. After the stories, each child will have the chance to
plant seeds in an upcycled egg carton—perfect for taking home and watching
their plants grow. Perfect for kids ages 3-8, this program combines
reading, crafting, and a love for nature! Ages 3-8yrs. Registration is
required. This program is funded by the Friends of the Lincoln Library and
LLCT. Please bring your own clean, biodegradable egg carton to the program.
We will have extras on hand if needed.

Join us for a library comic-con and day full of events and fun! For all
ages! Some events and activities will be more appropriate for kids and some
for adults, but everyone is welcome to participate in any part! Learn to
wield a lightsaber in Padawan training taught by Jedi, discover Magic: The
Gathering, make your own zine with Massachusetts author/illustrator Sarah
Lynne Reul, find out more about how to start making your own cosplays with
a local expert, plus scavenger hunts, Mario Kart, mini painting, and more!
Bring a picnic lunch for the lawn and make a day of it. Full schedule
coming soon. Registration is recommended for a reminder. You also might get
some fun behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of activities.
