A Sense of Place: Lincoln Then and Now
Lincoln 250 Exhibit at the Library, March 30–April 26, 2025
Reception: Tuesday, April 15, 4–5:30 pm
Please join us at the reception as we five artists and photographers show
scenes from around Lincoln that existed both in 1775 and now. At the center is
Kerry Glass's 1775 map with an overlay that traces the development of the
roadways from then to now. Four additional points in time colorfully show how
the town filled in and became more linked to the broader communities. See how
your neighborhood developed yet still strongly relates to Lincoln 250 years
ago. The paintings and photos reinforce a sense of timelessness, and captions
show how you can both understand these scenes and use your new insight to spot
those colonial features all around you.
