Although the sound of fireworks is exhilarating (I enjoy it), they ironically and unfortunately upset many veterans and active duty members [with PTSD] that we are meant to honor. Fireworks also cause terrible pollution in the environment and upset wild and domesticated animals. I think we have come too far to ignore these downsides in exchange for our entertainment.
