Calling all parents of 4th-8th graders! Is your child ready for the
American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 8?
After two school years in IMLEM, my kid is eager to take on a new
challenge—AMC 8. We believe this is a great next step for students with 1–2
years of IMLEM experience, and we’d love to invite your family to explore
it with us!
You want to consider AMC 8, because it is more advanced math
problem-solving than IMLEM. While IMLEM (9 questions/30 minutes) builds
strong foundations, AMC 8 (25 questions/40 minutes) pushes students to
think critically under time pressure. AMC 8 also has national recognition.
High scorers in AMC8 qualify for prestigious follow-up competitions like
AMC 10/12. Therefore, it's a great fit for IMLEM learners: The skills
align well, but AMC 8 demands greater speed and depth.
To support students ready for this transition, we plan to launch a regular
2-hour weekly math enrichment program at the beginning of this school year
with: (1) Core curriculum: AOPS Volumes 1–5 for structured learning.
(2) Monthly practice tests: Real past AMC 8 exams to track progress.
(3) Weekly homework: Reinforce concepts.
Before then, we set up a free demo class on Aug 20th. Welcome 4th-8th
graders, regardless of IMLEM learning experience, as long as you love math,
to attend this free trial and your parents to sit in and ask questions!

In addition, we tried to contact Lincoln recreation, but they’re too busy
during the summer vacation to discuss further with us. If we can use the
school classroom, there would be a weekday after-school time. Otherwise, we
have to do this at our home on weekends. This is why I haven't nailed down
the details of the weekly class.
For anyone interested in our program, please fill the survey form (

Your answers can help us make a best plan for the students. Our purpose is
not to earn money, but just to support the students who love math.
Based on interest, we may expand to AMC 10/12 prep in the coming years.
