*We're Building!!*
We're thrilled to share that after years of planning and preparation, we're
about to officially break ground on the new Community Center! This marks a
significant milestone for our community, and we couldn't be more excited to
see this vision become reality.

*Phase 1 Activities*
The first phase of construction will begin within the next few days and
will span the remainder of the summer. During this initial phase, you can
expect to see the following activities taking place:

   - *Installation of erosion controls and fencing* to ensure environmental
   protection and site safety.
   - *Abatement and demolition of the existing pods* to make way for the
   new facility.

*Safety and Environmental Compliance*
We want to assure the community that all work is being conducted with the
highest safety standards. All asbestos abatement work is being performed by
a licensed Asbestos Contractor in full accordance with EPA AHERA, MassDEP,
and Department of Labor Standards Asbestos Regulations.

We've included a detailed letter
<https://lincolncommunitycenter.com/documents/fuss-oneil-pod-abatement-procedures/>
from
our contractor outlining their specific procedures and safety protocols.

We are also developing a construction mitigation plan with our contractor
that includes dust control protocols throughout the entire project.

*Traffic and Access Information - Phase 1*
To help you navigate the campus during construction, we've prepared two
helpful maps showing vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle access to the area:

   1. Ballfield Road Access Map

-
Provides a broad view of the entire campus and general access routes
   2. Hartwell Building Access Map

-
Offers specific information about access to the Hartwell Main Building,
   which houses:
      - Lincoln Public School Administrative Offices
      - Magic Garden Preschool
      - Parks and Recreation Offices
      - LEAP Admin Offices (programs spaces are housed in the Lincoln
School for the coming school year.)

*Important note:* Vehicular traffic patterns on campus will remain largely
unchanged throughout this phase, with the exception of a modification to
the entrance and exit of the Hartwell Parking Lot.

*Moving Forward Together*
This community center project represents our shared commitment to creating
a vibrant space for Council on Aging, Human Services, Parks and Recreation,
LEAP Afterschool program, and community activities to thrive. While
construction activities may cause some temporary inconvenience, we're
confident that the result will be well worth it.

We'll continue to keep you informed throughout the construction process
with regular updates on progress, upcoming milestones, and any changes that
may affect community access or activities.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work together to bring this
incredible new facility to life. We can't wait to celebrate with you when
the doors open!
