Residents on Temporary By-pass,

The Lincoln Water Department has flushed the temporary water lines on Lincoln
and Bedford Road today, Sunday August 17th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This was done to address changes in the water's taste and odor for those on the
temporary service connections.
Due to the extreme heat, the exposed temporary lines can get warm, causing the
water inside to be warmer than usual. This can sometimes result in a temporary,
unusual taste or smell.
Please be assured that your water is completely safe to drink. All of Lincoln's
water is treated as usual. It is sourced from Flint's Pond (75%) and the Tower
Road Well (25%). Lincoln's source water from Flint's Pond is warmer than
average, reaching 75.2 degrees when tested today.
If you have any questions, please contact the Lincoln Water Department.
Thank You for your cooperation
