For the record, I do agree that the increase in private jets is detrimental to 
all of us, plus, it’s kinda disgusting, for many reasons.

There definitely has been a shift in aviation culture from (mostly) men who 
flew in WW2, who came home and ran county airports, or were corporate pilots 
for remotely located manufacturers to more “aspirational" owners who saw their 
various planes more as objects. I am told by some friends of mine who fly that 
it is not that same as it was…….

Back in my day, if someone had a “weekend” place, they got there in a 4-seater 
Cessna, not a jet….
