*Welcome Back to School! - *We’re excited to welcome all school families
back to the Ballfield Road campus for the new school year! As we continue
building our new Community Center, we want to ensure everyone has the
information they need for a smooth and safe start to the year.

*Construction Progress Update - *We’re pleased to report that Phase 1
construction activities have progressed well through the summer. We expect
to complete the final abatement

and
demolition of the remaining Hartwell pod in early September, which will
mark the completion of this initial phase of our project.

*Campus Access and Parking - *The construction fence will remain in its
current configuration for the foreseeable future, allowing 2/3 of the
Hartwell parking lot to remain in use for occupants and guest of the
Hartwell Building (Lincoln Public School Administrative Offices, Magic
Garden Preschool, Parks and Recreation Offices, LEAP Admin
Offices). Please take note of signage which reverses the traffic pattern
around the Hartwell parking lot. We’ve made this modification to the
entrance and exit of the Hartwell Parking Lot to create a safe and
efficient traffic pattern during construction. You can preview access
routes below:

Walking/biking paths and woodland trails remain available around the
construction fence line, providing safe routes for pedestrians and cyclists
throughout the campus area. Please use caution, especially on the woodland
trails.

*Construction Schedule Considerations - *To minimize disruption to school
operations, there will be no major construction traffic or deliveries
during school drop-off and pick-up times. This helps to minimize the impact
of construction on campus.

*Safety Reminders - *For everyone’s safety, please be respectful of the
construction fence line and keep a safe distance from all construction
areas. All work continues to be conducted with the highest safety
standards, and maintaining appropriate boundaries helps us protect both our
community members and construction workers.

*Moving Forward Together - *This community center project represents our
shared commitment to creating a vibrant space for Council on Aging, Human
Services, Parks and Recreation, LEAP Afterschool program, and community
activities to thrive. While construction activities may cause some
temporary inconvenience, we’re confident that the result will be well worth
it.

We’ll continue to keep you informed throughout the construction process
with regular updates on progress, upcoming milestones, and any changes that
may affect community access or activities.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work together to bring this
incredible new facility to life. Here’s to a wonderful school year ahead!
