Hi LT, I have not yet had a chance to put together what I hope will be a resource for parents to sort out what sports opportunities are available to kids in Lincoln, but did want to alert you to the fact that *the signups for Metrowest basketball, through Sudbury Youth Basketball, close today*. This is not advertised anywhere in Lincoln, including in the Lincoln Rec catalog (page 10) under the heading Basketball Leagues. My younger son missed out on this a few years ago because we didn't know about it -- I was told by the previous Rec Dept. head that they don't advertise it because they "have enough trouble filling tri-town teams". We got a nudge yesterday from his coach to sign up for this year -- had we not, I am pretty sure we would have missed the deadline. Metrowest is more competitive, at a higher level of play than tri-town, with mixed Lincoln and Sudbury teams, and practices in Sudbury, with the season running from November through March. Everything you need to know about it is explained on the website: https://www.sudburybasketball.com/page/show/8179401-travel-program *If your son wants to play basketball, and wants to play competitively, I highly recommend signing up.* And I am happy to try to answer any questions you may have!
