Hi Lincoln Talk, As part of my Girl Scout Gold Award project, I will be leading a workshop tomorrow, October 1, with Capt. Ben Juhola, Lincoln Fire Dept. on the importance of being prepared in a medical emergency. The workshop is being held at Bemis Hall at 3:30 pm. File of Life <https://www.thefileoflife.org> cards will be given out at the workshop for FREE.
I chose this topic for my Gold Award because my grandmother moved in with our family this year, and we were not as prepared as we could have been when she needed medical assistance. That situation led my whole family to complete File of Life cards and to realize just how important updated medical information is for first responders! I hope residents are able to attend the workshop tomorrow at Bemis Hall. I have also created a website <https://sites.google.com/view/copyoffileoflifeinlincoln?usp=sharing> to help spread the word about File of Life and the importance of emergency preparedness. Thank you, Samantha Donaldson
