I think ticks don’t die in the winter, they go in to the ground and hibernateTall boots, gloves, changing clothes and showering are good solutions Perhaps our first frost didn’t do the trick:( Huh, sounds like they're still there! Maybe my (newer) habits of wearing tall boots and changing clothes as soon as I get indoors are just paying off big time ....
Oh interesting. My dogs are usually my tick indicators and after a pretty quiet summer, the last few weeks have been awful. Just the other day I picked like a dozen off of my golden retriever!
