Abby, My parents were at The Commons for the last few years of their lives. I can’t say enough good things about them. The continuing care setup is great and the staff is great. As my mother was dying my father was able to walk entirely inside from the apartment in Independent living to see her in the hospice section of skilled nursing. When there were issues of various sorts the staff was super helpful; I remember calling the concierge to ask about something as my mother was failing and she said “would you like me to send housekeeping?”. Yes I would!
Having helped my parents investigate sr living my comment about your list is that the commons is probably the priciest place on it. Rooms at sunrise are very small, and the list of things they won’t do long. My parents seriously considered Brookhaven in Lexington before choosing the commons. They are about equivalent, but the commons had covered parking and is closer to me. Newbury Court and Brookhaven are probably similar distances.
