It is orange and red stain glass light everywhere with neon yellow virginia creeper glowing up the trees in the rising sunlight, leaf shapes reaching down, color ascending up into the blue. The great blue heron plays invisible stick inside the deer fence catching the exposed voles and mice as the crew has ripped up the plastic rows and Ari has turned over the soil....May he catch them all, or she? The only sign of presence is the flup flupping of enormous gray wings as it disappears from sudden sight into truly not there...our sweet potatoes are in, two kinds, we tried out a japanese one this year....however they have been shared with the afore mentioned voles and mice. Hope that is okay. Carefully trimmed by the work shares and cured. We have butternut this year and honeynuts...little baby butternuts, sort of. VERY sweet.

other salad things
Honeynuts
leeks
small amount of potatoes
small cabbages
and whatever else looks good.
I now I have forgotten something.....

RSVP ASAP with all your REQUESTS ESPECIALLY for KALE AND EXTRA CARROTS as these need to be harvested with planning....
We will plant next summer's garlic, on Thursday!!! Another year in the 5000 years of garlic. Whose hand held that flesh so long ago?
