Hello from your tech admin. Our long-time service provider is no longer providing Mailman, the software we've used to implement this mailing list.
I am in the process of moving Lincoln Talk from that service provider to an entirely different service, https://groups.io/. While it's my intention that everything will eventually work as it always has--you will send mail to [email protected] do expect that, in the early weeks of 2026, there will be hiccups and disruptions. In advance of those: I am sorry! In particular, I'm not sure I can automatically set you up for digest/non-digest preferences, and you may have to change that setting yourself once the switch is pulled. On the other hand, I have hopes that managing your membership will be less confusing than it is on the old system. We shall see. One other thing: the old system cost us about $100/year. This new system is more like $2000/year. We will be soliciting donations to cover our expenses. Since that expense comes to about $1/year per user, I'm hoping this will be no hardship. Please don't offer anything yet; I'll let you know how to directly contribute to our hosting costs once that's set up. The list archive should be available *and searchable!* once the new system is completely set up.
