Nik, Since you are using the version 2.2.2 of PDF Xtra, do you know if the peoples who experienced this hanging issue are opening their PDFs with Acrobat/Reader 6?
Acrobat/Reader 6 started to be supported with PDF Xtra 3, so it would make sense that they are having problem opening their PDFs if this is the version of Acrobat/Reader they have installed on their systems. If that is the case, you will have to either upgrade to PDF Xtra 3 or to make sure that your actual version of PDF Xtra open Acrobat/Reader 5. >Pop ups appeared referring to viewing PDFs in a browser and some that disappeared too quickly to read. Do you have the exact error message or at least if you were able to catch the error number when that pop-up message appeared? On subsequent launches of teh application, this does not occur. Here is the description from the guy who tested it: **************** The auto-start functionality failed to work correctly on several different PCs running XP and XPsp2. Pop ups appeared referring to viewing PDFs in a browser and some that disappeared too quickly to read. The program would then hang on the initial black screen and stop responding. On subsequent runs the program launched successfully. It may however depend on the setup of individual PCs **************** Any ideas? I know that the behaviour of the Xtra can be a bit erroatic, and dependant on the specific configuration of the PC it is running on, but how do Istabilise that, or test for it?
