what would you need sleep for, other than making director less cpu-consuming? and therefore; why would you want to know this exact timing? because once sleeping, you can't 'unsleep' director, isn;t it?
You don't put Director to sleep and then wake it up, you tell the system that Director doesn't need any attention for a given amount of time. Sleep 1 would tell Mac OS X to not give any time to Director (or your projector) for 1/60th of a second. Sleep 17 would tell Windows roughly the same thing.
