There are too many things that could contribute to slow animation, and CPU speed isn't at the top of the list (unless it's a Flash animation). What is the nature of the animation? Could you have an intro part to it that stands alone, and if that takes too long to play, then skip the remainder?


You can animate in ways that would be the same speed on all machines, but would skip frames on slower machines.
