I have a movie that has no "on idle" handlers and whose "exitFrame" loop has only one statement, "go to the frame". When the movie is running in authoring, the Windows Task Manager shows Director's use of CPU cycles at around 10 to 15.
After I add six Flash Component buttons to the stage, the CPU usage jumps to around 65 to 72. Am I doing something wrong? If not, and if this is the effect of using a few Flash buttons, how wise is it to use them? Or is there a way to reduce their demands on the CPU? This is on a Windows XP Pro PC with a 1.7 GHz Pentium Xeon, Dir10.1. A few other applications are running at the same time, but they're not doing much. Thanks, Slava [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [email protected] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
