I would also really like to know if there is a solution to this. However, being as it is usually possible to do a direct CD - CD copy, and that even in the case of expensive DVD and CD manufacturing with serial numbers hard-coded onto the physical disk it can still be got round, you are unlikely to find an easy solution.
If its that important, you may be better making a more rigorous install program, that requires online authentication where you match a serial number to a computer ID and store that, with a backup so that it can be authenticated by phone - much like in the case of Microsoft software. That way, once it is installed on a computer with a serial key, and that serial key is registered to a particular computer, it is much harder to give away to another person. If the data is volatile, you can also use this method to check that the install is not out of date and that subsequent installs will not be possible after a certain date. Well if this is all you want to do why don't you create a demo only version, such as putting a great big splash screen at the beginning and end of the project saying "approval demo version only! not for commercial use" or something similar. That way every time the projector runs you will see this big screen. It stops my clients from messing me around anyway... Ross ___________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
