I don't know of any way to import them without an xtra.
There are a few different xtras you can get.
Impressario (http://www.inm.com) is really easy to use and you don't have
to make the user install Acrobat, but it's not cheap.

How do you place PDF files in a Director movie? They are not recognized as
a cast level asset in the versioin of Director I have, at least I can't
get it to work. I have Director 8. Do I need to upgrade?
Thanks in advance.
