Hi everyone,

I posted this on direct-l but...

I am trying to 'open' a MIAW from behind my stage and move it to the right until it is at a certain location, removed from the stage.

In general, no.

But If a MIAW's branded stage size is large & the drawRect (the part you see) is smaller & gets altered (animated), then some 'MIAW stage animation' can appear to happen.

I am using irregular shapes for the movies and I would like to create the appearance of components sliding in and out of position as required.

I have only minimal experience with this feature in DMX04 but in previous versionsm you can't do this with an irregular shape as they seem to position themselves automatically (their rect aligns to (0,0)) & can't be shifted. (as far as I know)

also the application of the irregular shape causes a stage flash so that sawpping shapes to make animation had never been a viable option.

Can this be done without extras?

Can A MIAW be opened 'behind' the stage?

sure - there's a MIAW.moveToBack command

any help would be appeciated muchly,

Thanks
