My immmediate suggestion is to do this sort of testing using something
other than an unsupported and undocumented property. ;) For example, try
anything besides setting the blend to help determine if this is a bug in
that property, perhaps the way the window blending is configured on
Windows makes it such that it auto-magically reactivates itself in some
way. The joys of undoc'd (therefore nowhere near fully tested ;) )
features.
