Yeah, that's exactly what I did. Your right, neither elegant nor
satisfying.


Not directly AFAIK.  I know its not too elegant or satisfying, but you
could create an second property that accepts a string that defaults to
empty.  On beginSprite if the second property contains an empty string,
you use the value from the first one.  Otherwise, use what was entered
in the second one.
