Buddy Saver 1.01
Buddy Saver is a screen saver/Xtra combination for Windows 95/98 and
NT4 which allows Director, Flash or Authorware projectors to be used
as screen savers. It is designed to behave as much as possible like a
real Windows screen saver.
It has features such as:
you can provide a series of bitmaps to display as the Control Panel
animation
specify a part of your movie to be shown when the 'Settings' button
is clicked - make your own configuration screen
uses the standard Windows password dialog system
Buddy Saver includes an installation maker which:
allows you to include multiple files like external casts and Xtras
includes compression - reduce the projector size to less than 50% of
its original size
supports multiple languages
allows customisation of messages and displays
can be password protected
includes an uninstaller
------
I used it a few years back on W2K machines without a problem, so my
guess is this should work on XP

Howdy all,
I've got a client I did a screensaver for last Oct. of 2003. They
had me
make changes to the Director, recently. My problem is I don't have the
software I used before to make the actual screensaver of my Director
projector. Cine-Mac is no longer made and I talked to ScreenTime
and their
software now only works with .swf files, NO executables. They even
looked in
their archives for a copy of the older software that would work
with .exe
files and they don't have it anymore.
So does anyone have a suggestion of what software(if any) I can use
to make
a projector into a screensaver. I found PitBull on the NET, but
that does
not appear to work, as advertised. This has to work in WinXP.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide me,
John
