I can verify that using similar code (I used an unregistered BuddyAPI
Xtra, otherwise the code is the same) I get the same results in that
only alt-F4 results in having to select no twice to prevent quitting the
projector. But I can also say that I made a different version that did
not involve BuddyAPI in the closeRequest() handler and the problem went
away. I'm not sure at this point why that's the case but it seems to be
so, perhaps you can do a similar test on your end to see if you get the
same results? I tested with Director MX 2004 (10.1.0r11) on WinXP and as
I said, with an unregistered copy of BuddyAPI, but I don't believe
that's a critical difference at this point.
