I was thinking the exact same a few minutes ago.
I never would have thought, that Adobe would promote fireworks and
ignore director.
I thought fireworks and freehand would have a hard time against
products, which have direct competition at Adobe.
They may very well care about director behind the scenes, but, man,
they can hide that interest very well...
The only explanation I can come up with is simply, that director
can't compete at all with fireworks in terms of sales numbers and so
Adobe doesn't seem to care about the few customers (still) tied to
director in the same way they care for the fireworks customers, which
are supposed to switch to PS rather than being pissed and switch to
gimp later.
