I have not made any attempt to convert wholesale. I often rely upon
Lingo list manipulations that seem convoluted if not impossible to do
in Javascript syntax. Besides, I have grown strangely fond of Lingo.
:)
However, I have created one Javascript syntax script with a bunch of
handy functions employing things Javascript does easier/better than
Lingo. These mostly manipulate dates and regular expressions, but I
also included wrappers for useful Math and String methods such as
ceil, floor, toLowerCase and toUpperCase.

Good point. I must be tired. Given all of the Flash work I do, you'd
think I'd have started using JS syntax in Director for consistency,
but I haven't converted yet. Probably about time I did, since I'm
always finding myself typing "trace();" in Director instead of "put".
If you're using Dir 10, it seems like using the built-in regular
expression capabilities of Javascript syntax would be a lot faster.
