Not to mention FLV. Though it requires the Flash asset xtra (QuickTime and AVI require xtras as well), and I believe must be loaded and run by an embedded swf.

Right out of the Director MX help file:

Director supports QuickTime video for Windows and Macintosh, and Video for
Windows (AVI). Director also supports RealMedia content (Windows only)

After that, its Xtra's time. :)
