Nik,
Quite often computer configurations are such that you cannot project a
playing DVD onto a nother monitor. We ran into this all the time while
trying to demo/showcase 3D abilities within Director and in the end,
it's not our application so much as the DVD frameworks themselves.
Disabling overlay operations seems to help with standard video playback
but I'm not sure about DVD playback. Try the same DVD through WinDVD or
a similar player and see if the same happens there (I believe it will -
you won't be able to mirror on the projector).
