It is part of the Quicktime installation - for playback and free compression.
5.02 includes Sorenson 3 (this is Mac info but hopefully PC is the same) if you need or want that. But if you do encode to Sorenson 3 for a Director projector I would check in lingo for Qt >= 5.02.
