I was using (and still am, I guess) parseURL() to bring the file in. All my
code except the going away message is in the first frame, with nothing
overly complex, just holding on that frame til doneParsing() returns true.
When initially defining variables in Lingo, is it a good idea to set them to
VOID, or 0 prior to assigning the object (XML xtra, FileXtra3, any parent
script)? Doesn't seem necessary to me, but just curious. So anyway...

Ah....I wish there was a happier ending to this....it works now, I don't
know why. But trust me, I am not flip in sending problems to the list; I'm
confident as I am of my own life that this bugger wouldn't let go. So, I
don't know why it works now. I sent the email, closed director (which I
incidentally tried before), left the glowing pixels behind and ate lunch (I
had a bowl of beef barley soup if anyone wants to try to replicate this
problem). I came back, compiled a projector (mind you, didn't change any
code), ran the projector, and it worked. I scratched my head and said "that
just can't be" (maybe it's a reverse of what normally happens i.e. something
works in authoring doesn't in projector). So I opened director and it runs
fine from there too. Go figure.

So, as always, thank you for all the suggestions, I appreciate the help.
