What's the deal with 3D groove? Do they only deal with people who are
working on a "major game title"? I have phoned and emailed them about
information regarding their product with no luck after more than a week.

>From a bird's eye view I like what they have because it seems to run fairly
fast on your average PC. I am designing a simple game for a CD ROM that has
a brief "adventure" component. I wanted to use Havok at first, but I wonder
about the usability of Havok for a broad client/user base. That thing really
can bog down a system. My two PCs are both modest: neither has a 3D graphics
card, one is circa 600Mhz and 256 Mb RAM and other is 800mhz and 128 mb of
RAM and Havok stuff runs pretty slow, yet Director games in 3D groove are
fast.

3Dgroove was used to design the new Shockwave 3D game for "Dora the
Explorer" on Nick Jr. and it runs very nicely. (www.nickjr.com) Also

Is it naive to compare 3dgroove and Havok? I hate to even compare them
without having info on 3Dgroove, but with all this exposure on Nickelodeon
they must be swamped now and can't answer a phone call from an amateur I'm
sure. Hence my query.

I suppose I could just do all of the scripting with just Lingo, but it seems
like these other tools provide a nice Physics engine that would take a long
time to create from scratch in Lingo.
