Hi Tab (and many apologies to everyone else on the list),

I suspect that the list traffic will be a little too much for the
connections I'm likely to encounter in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the rest
of Central Asia, so I've been trying to unsub from lingo-l, and have
encountered a couple of problems:

Firstly, I've been subbed so long that I think the list software has changed
since I did so. When I unsub to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I get:

----------
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: Majordomo results: unsubscribe lingo

>>>> unsubscribe lingo
Succeeded.
>>>>
----------

...it seems to work fine, but then I *keep receiving messages*.

If I try:

----------
From: Christian Wach <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

unsubscribe lingo
----------

I get:

----------
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: Mailman results for Lingo-l

This is an automated response.

There were problems with the email commands you sent to Mailman via
the administrative address <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

To obtain instructions on valid Mailman email commands, send email to
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with the word "help" in the
subject line or in the body of the message.

If you want to reach the human being that manages this mailing list,
please send your message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

The following is a detailed description of the problems.

>>>>> Subject line ignored:
>>>>> <no subject>

***** unsubscribe lingo
>>>>> You gave the wrong password.
----------

... so it seems I'm *still* subscribed and I've been allocated a password,
which I do not have :(

Please could you unsub me... I'd be very grateful.

Cheers,

Christian
