Hoo boy, did I step in it this time. I gotta find a Novell Netware consultant in the San Francisco area A.S.A.P. Anybody got recommendations?
Or, maybe somebody on the list knows the answer. We just found that Novell Netware 5 is squirrely with file names with high ANSI characters. We have a lot of Spanish audio files with accented characters in the name--rode.mov, for example. Netware, by default, doesn't allow these characters in file names. It's a legacy thing, going back to the DOS and ASCII days. According to the information I have, you have to define allowable file name characters at install time. Is there any way to change that after installation? I don't think network admins are going to want to reinstall Netware for our product. Help!
