nope - it's in the bugbase as a BIG NEED -
Sharing the 8 channels with the MIAWs is a real pain

I know, 1000 graphic channels (not counting film loops & MIAWs) & 
only a measly 8 for sound ...

This would be added as a new Xtra type
- MACR would just install some APIs & then let someone else do the work.

sound is invisible that's so they can't SEE a need ...
