I'm not quite sure WHERE in the docs this form of subtlety would go. There's basically no area which discusses the timing of the event model very completely, so this type of info has always fallen to 3rd party books. Yes, these are inconsistencies, but there might be legitimate reasons that it was done this way (or maybe they're bugs - I don't know - I had just entered the issues into Director bugbase & had been informed that the issue was deferred). If I was still 'inside', I'd ask Nuuja (he was around during that part of d6, but I don't think he was the one actually doing the work).
