Thanks Kerry for replying. D8.5 system requirements are lower than D8!!! Any supported links will be appreciated.
I use DirectMedia Xtra for direct to stage mpg playback. I am sorry if I sounded that I used Flash for it. Could you please tell me a link wherein i could get knowledgebase about optimum use of Flash in D. I am following the discussion currently underway about Flash Sprites. I seldom use images in cast. Every interface of mine has a little bit of animation in it. So i tend to (over?) use flash instead of using lingo for animation. Will have to think of something fast before the next issue is out. :( Regards Manisha ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kerry Thompson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, April 11, 2002 2:46 AM Subject: RE: <lingo-l> Projectors made from D8.5 > > Can anybody tell me how to set the minimum system requirements for a > > magazine authored in Director 8.5 with liberal use of Flash MX in > > terms of action scripting, animation and video. > > > Currently, if you're authoring in MX, you have to publish as Flash 5 or > earlier--the Flash Asset Xtra for 8.5 hasn't been released yet. > Macromedia said (about a month ago) that it would be out in 3 months. > > Generally, Director 8.5 system requirements are *lower* than 8.0--i.e., > 8.5 will run on an older machine.
