I know Gary has said he'd update Buddy to OSX at the appropriate time, but I don't know about the rest. Xtras developers aren't exactly drowning in cash.
Actually, I don't think the carbonized stub qualifies as OSX native, does it? I'll check Apple's requirements--they have a nifty co-marketing program we'd like to get in on, but we have to make our stuff truly OS X native. Hey, here's a radical idea. How about Macromedia incorporating some essential Xtras functionality into Director itself? Director is about the only major development environment that doesn't have built-in file and print functions--doesn't even own/control the development. Now, if Macromedia were to license, say, Kent's fileXtra3 code (or buy it outright), that would do us all a favor. Developers would get essential functionality, and Xtras developers could look forward to some day selling to Macromedia. If I was an Xtra developer, that would be a nice incentive ^_^ Cordially, Kerry Thompson > >Does Macromedia intend to do a dot-upgrade while we're waiting for > >D9/MX/whatever? > > I sure as hell hope so.
