The important number is how many Shockwave pieces there are, not so much how big each one is (though that also makes a difference).
Each Shockwave movie requires an instance of the Shockwave plugin. 4 movies, 4 instances of the plugin, plus whatever memory the movies themselves take up. I don't remember for sure, but I think the plugin takes about 100K of RAM per instance.
