hello steve, thanks very much for your reply to my post about detecting acrobat reader. the thing is this: we're only using the pdf's as a way for teachers to print out the contents of the cd we're doing. within the cd the content is animated and structured differently. therefore we really dont want the pdfs to be sprites and show up in our director presentation... so as i understand it we would only be using a small fraction of what the pdf xtra can actually do, right?
