There's all kinds of different ways - from doing a postnettext call to a 
php/asp/cgi, to passing in variablename/value through the embed tag, etc 
etc, but since you're working on a MU shockwave, look specifically to the 
MU database stuff -- that's built exactly for what you want to do.
