A first step might be to find a copy of Director 7.02. It included some docs & the light version
Yu could work with that as a test. If you are planning to use it in Shockwave then a big issue to consider is whether the automatic download locations for Beatnik are still active/functioning & whether they will continue to be. I just checked & could still get the package files for both the mac (.ppc) & win (.w32) using http://download.beatnik.com/bxp/BeatnikXtra (the location specified in the xtraInfo data below) I don't know if these URLs will remain active indefinitely. To author with the Xtra in later versions of Director, you'll need to include this within the current xtrinfo.txt file ; Beatnik Xtra by Beatnik Inc. ; http://www.beatnik.com/ [#namePPC:"Beatnik Xtra Lite", #nameW32:"Beatnik Xtra Lite.x32", #package:"http://download.beatnik.com/bxp/BeatnikXtra", #info:"http://www.beatnik.com/to/?xtra-lite-shockwave"] I'm not sure how/where to get the full version nowadays, but if you find a light version & work with it & then decide that you want the full, contact me & I'll see what I can find out (I've got some contacts at Beatnik). hth -Buzz At 1:46 PM -0400 7/25/02, you wrote: >Hi all - >Has anyone been able to track down the now defunct beatnik xtra?
