Hi, I asked once before and had one private reply. Thanks to that person for responding but the code didn't work.
I am trying to copy image files, eg. jpg ot tif off a cd-rom into a folder on the user's hard drive. The user will click on a "save" button in the Director interface and copy that image to a folder that he will choose on his hard drive. I have been playing around with buddy API and FileIO and FileXtra3. I can make the dialogue box through which the user will either create a folder or choose a folder in which to save the images, but I cannot actually get the image file to copy. The buddy API copyFile gives me an error 2 ALL the time which means that it cannot find the file, and this no matter how I try to set the path to it. It would also be nice if someone can tell me how to make the copyProgress work as it would be very nice to be able to see a progress bar will the copying is happening (if it will ever happen!). My boss will only buy the Buddy API when he sees that I have managed to make it work, so I'm sitting with all of these headaches and I haven't progresses one bit since my last email - ofcourse it doesn't help that my Lingo skills are minimal! If anyone can help I will really appreciate it!
