alright - i didn't have a ton of time to modify this from it's original version which was pieced together through macromedia technotes and http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/publishexport/scriptingwithflash/scriptingwithflash_03.html (and obviously was done very quickly) and i've got to run now, but hope it helps -- feel free to ask questions back on this list since i haven't been able to explain well here - try to get to it soon --
