Hi everybody. I need to integrate a FMP (Filemaker 5.5) database inside a multimedia (CD-ROM), as a stand alone application authored using Director. Well to have the best integration would be very interesting to send command to the FMP db (compiled using FMP Developer as a stand alone executable as well) using Lingo commands by ActiveX. In other words, the idea is to open the FMP db in a window inside the Director Stage instead of launch the db as an external application. In this way Lingo/Director can pass commands to the db, in order to search, sort etc.. Beside, using the fmp.exe launched as a Director external application, the risk is that the user could click on the Director interface causing the db windows to go to the back of the interface (unfortunately most users don't know the Alt Tab combination ...).Anybody have already do that? Some tips?
