Hi Are you in TVC? I'm in BU.
A lot of people reckon changing video res or color depth automatically is not very polite (might crash PCs too) so involving the user is probably the better way to go. Interesting to know if you can bring up Windows Control Panels ... otherwise yes it's doable from lingo: For col depth check 'the colordepth' ! For resolution there are several xtras e.g. the ever useful BuddyAPI cheers -- Richard Tribe * lingo programmer * iTV, t: 72224 -----Original Message----- From: Lewis Fleming [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 26 September 2002 13:17 To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: <lingo-l> can director open the "display properties" in windows? My director projector checks the users resolution a colour depth. When the colour depth or screen resolution is not compatible I tell the user to change there monitor settings. It would be even better if I could open the display properties from director so the user could make the changes with out quitting out. Is this possible? or does director need an extra? thanks Lewis BBCi at http://www.bbc.co.uk/ This e-mail (and any attachments) is confidential and may contain personal views which are not the views of the BBC unless specifically stated.
